Privacy policy

Electoral College Map is a static website. It has no user accounts, no login, and no server-side database of visitors.

What we collect

No personal information is collected. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other identifying detail, and there is nowhere on this site to submit them.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. No advertising is served at present, and no third-party tracking cookies are used.

Local storage

The site stores one preference in your browser's local storage: whether you chose the light or dark theme. This stays on your device, is never sent to us or to anyone else, and is cleared when you clear your browser data.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and does not fingerprint or track individual visitors across sites; it records only aggregate information such as page URL, referrer, country and browser type. See Cloudflare Web Analytics for details.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to deliver the site. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.

Advertising

This site currently shows no advertising. If advertising is introduced in future, this policy will be updated before any ads appear, and visitors in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a recognised consent management platform before any advertising cookies are set.

Pages here link to external sources such as the National Archives and Wikipedia. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

Children

This site is a general-audience reference and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Any change will be posted on this page with an updated date above. Material changes — in particular the introduction of advertising — will be made before the change takes effect, not after.
